Testing and Early Achievements
Northwood Space built its first phased-array prototype in only a few months. The antenna was named Frankie. Frankie completed a two-way communication test with Planet Labs satellites. It tracked an active spacecraft, received data and sent signals back during the pass. The test proved that the early design could work with a real commercial satellite.
